Ohau Gourmet Mushrooms Featured on TVNZ’s Hyundai Country Calendar

We’re thrilled to share that Ōhau Gourmet Mushrooms was recently featured on the iconic New Zealand television series, Hyundai Country Calendar.

The episode, titled “Room to Grow”, offers a behind-the-scenes look at our mushroom farm here in Ōhau, in the heart of the Horowhenua. Get to see how our team carefully cultivates or crops, from delicate oyster mushrooms & Yacon, to create richly flavoured functional foods. Learn how our passion for sustainable, small-scale food production drives everything we do.

The Country Calendar crew spent time with us capturing the daily rhythm of life on the farm — from preparing our growing substrate, to harvesting at peak freshness, and delivering to local markets and restaurants.

We also shared our story of how Ōhau Gourmet Mushrooms began: a love of food, nature, and the desire to bring something nutritious and truly local to our community.
